Celebrations for International Women's Day 2010
International Women's Day Gala Lunch
In celebration of International Women’s Day, The Women’s Foundation will be hosting a Gala Lunch on 5 March 2010 at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong. We are delighted that Christine Loh, CEO of Hong Kong's Civic Exchange, will be our guest speaker at the event, which is being sponsored by Thomson Reuters. Our Gala Lunch will be attended by representatives from the leading women's corporate and industry networks and community groups in Hong Kong as well as government leaders, academics and representatives from local grassroots organizations supporting marginalised women living in poverty in Hong Kong.
The Women’s Foundation believes that IWD is an important global event around which to bring together individuals and organizations in Hong Kong who are committed to women’s issues. The lunch will serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas across a range of fields and industries and we hope this event will be the first step toward better dialogue among women’s groups that will in turn lead to more effective cooperation and collaboration in addressing issues that women in Hong Kong face. All funds raised during the event will be put toward our community programs to assist marginalised poor women in Hong Kong.

International Women's Day Retail Campaign
The Women’s Foundation is partnering with local and global brands in a citywide retail campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day. Participating brands including Altruistic Wines, Caran d'Ache, I Scream, Mauboussin, Sense of Touch and Shiseido Cle de Peau will donate a portion of their sales in March to The Women's Foundation and the causes we support.
